A Brief Update

Hellebore in bloom in ten degree weather

I had hoped to have a review of Educated, by Tara Westover, on the blog by now, but I’ve had no time to write down my thoughts. The work-related postponements in November that made it possible for me to participate in NaNoWriMo are now making it impossible for me to do much outside of litigation briefing and legislative advocacy (it’s a new session, so we start all over again). However, I have found the time to edit my NaNoWriMo project, a legal drama inspired by Pride and Prejudice. It’s with my beta readers now.

It’s very cold in my part of the world. I hope everyone facing a similar situation is staying warm. I am looking forward to spring. Hopefully, I’ll get a book-related blog post up before then.

    1. Thank you! Hellebores are among my favorite flowers right now (and not just because they’re the *only* flowers I have right now!). I can’t wait until spring. By the way, I planted added more anise hyssop last summer. Thanks for recommending it. It’s lovely.

      1. So glad you like the anise hyssop! I have also planted tall white hyssop and that too is a magnet but seeds itself everywhere so I am always pulling up sprouts from the nearby vegetable bed. But it’s worth it 🙂
